Wizard and i were both sick, and so bounced around in his boat.
Started in the canal where i swear he hooked the same fish twice casting.
Then picked up some shiners, and ran to the marin islands. We casted the bar on the incoming between the islands. I got a nice one about 20", a small one, wizard got the smallest striper i've ever seen. Then he managed to hook a big bat ray directly in the middle of the back. 15 min later, we gaffe the thing in an attempt to get the lure back, only to have it twist out of hte gaff and break the line. picked up one more short striper,
then went to red rock. He managed a NICE fatty striper on a shiner. nothing doing after that, so over to some rockpiles near the brothers. another short on a shiner for me, one for him. finally we trolled across the face of the brickyard for one more shorty.

weird catch of the day: a 10" mackerel on a shiner between the brothers. That's the farthest up in the bay i've ever seen mackerel (and also probably explains the missle short strikes i was getting on a little swimbait at RR)

oh man, i had to chase that thing around with the boat while he was trying to reel it in on super light tackle. It kept going up and over the bar, which that big boat can't go over, then it would come back and go into deep water towards the brickyard-- nightmare.
