My buddy and I are thinking about going out of FR or maybe timber cove sunday morning.. anybody else going out?

I talked to a guy at tomales today who takes his yak out of timber cove boat landing.. i called there today and they charge a day use fee but said that its an easy launch.   Anybody ever go out from there?

Hey Bill, I will let you know a little later if I can make it. Stillwater Cove is an easy launch also. The swell may be picking up already.

Sounds good!  I have been looking at some of the weather sites  but Im not sure how good the forcasts are.     From what im reading its looking to be 5 -6 ft and pretty wide but Im not sure about the wind.

No problem craig and I hope your wife feels better!     I talked to greg a bit ago and it looks like we are going to leave here at 6 am and be playing it by ear as far as the water goes.   Leaning towards the fort mainly because greg has dove there so he knows his way around it a little.   I will be on ch 69.

If you can get down to Pedottis reef before the wind comes if it does there are some real nice shelves that go down to 100ft off the tip of the reef. !st one is at about 45 then 80 and down to 100ft. Then straight out from the beach at reef on the north side of the reef in 45-60ft there is good structure. Dont waste your time off the point at the Fort its full of gophers and little blacks.

Sounds good.. hopefully it will not be too bad and I will see you there.    Could you do me a favor and post here if it looks too ugly to go out?   I will be checking also before I leave but I know you have a lot of experience in the area and it would save me getting in over my head.. or at least an hr and a half drive!

thanks!
