San Mateo Coast Cabbie Hunt

Late Report... Mike and I took my old party boat fishing buddy and his son out for their inaugural kayak trip. I borrowed a tarpon 160 for my buddy and put his son in the front seat of my double. Wierd having someone else fishing in the boat with me for the first time. I kinda got used to all that room for my lonesome!

Anyways we fished mostly swim baits and scampys for a steady pick of nearshore fish with some bomber blacks and cabbies in the mix. Other fish caught were black and yellows, grassies and rock greenling. We released some and kept maybe four apiece for tacos and stuff. We had a great day on the water despite the wind and I think it's safe to say that my bud and his son are converts to the paddle fishing.
