arrived to the boat on sausalito yesterday afternoon, but windy so we headed to lunch at poggio and just watched a movie on the boat and hung out.  Headed to Angel island at day break this morning.  Is there anything better than being on the water at sun up?   I am not sure what type, but there were sharks porposing in the racoon straights, I am assuming chasing bait, but maybe somebody here knows something I don't about sharks.  We saw three different sharks make porpoise type jumps of three straight jumps all in a half mile area, strange?  We docked at Ayala cove and to my delight as I was docking I could see bait fish splashing everywhere.  Bad news is that I could not find any stipers chasing them!  I walked the beach and tossed off the docks and the point for nada.  I managed to pull one dine up on my rat-l-trap and they were tapping at it constantly, but no stripers yet.  I would think there will be "schoolie" stripers there any day now.  I have had 50 fish days in the shallows of Angel Island usually in October, so good things ahead.  Other than that, nice day to be on the water with my sweetheart.   Wish I had a great fish picture but oh well...............

Sounds like a nice time OTW.  The Stripers are kind of late this year, should be there by now.  Thanks for the report and pictures.

Very interesting.  These certainly were slim near the tail and slim over all, perhaps 36-44 inches in lengh.  Very acrobatic!
