Saturday 9/12 at my Mendo spot: CANCELLED DUE TO WX FORECAST

Cancelled.  I hear the forecast is for 9-10' swells.  Who needs it?  The season is open until October 31.  Let's wait for a better day.   I went out today (couple of underlings and a good black and a limit of abs) and my buddy Padraic got a keeper ling.  Saw a whale pretty darn close.   But this weekend it is supposed to kick up.  next time, sorry.

Have you been looking at the marine forecast or the post on hookup about Horseshoe Cove? A bunch of us were going to go, but the NW swell is looking big. What's the launch and landing like at your spot with a NW swell at 8-10'?

Hmm may be a better day for surfing.  My place is protected but faces northwest; when the swell is from the Northwest it just barrels straight in.  The cove faces into the swell.  9-10' is predicted.   Maybe I should push this back until the swell lies down.  I just heard we have until October 31 to fish it.  (Thanks Ravensblack.) 

yeah pete do an end of season thing in October, hopefully for sometime after the week of October 13.
