I drifted form Sailor bar past the San Juan rapids throwing everything from crawlers to kwikfish.  I had two hookups which promptly unbuttoned.  Other anglers were also having a slow day.  I saw one small chromer and one small squawfish caught on roe.  One shore angler reported more action near Nimbus dam.

up at the basin we killed them on pink worms in bubblegum.  I  had 4 (2 days before opener) and my buddy had two and one on beads.
