Way to go Chris sounds like you had a blast. :smt040  I thought you said it was a no checking league? I bet the Stripers are happy :groupwave  to hear that you are relieving some of your aggression elsewhere.

I'd pay money to watch Chris "run over" any guy that gets in his way  :groupwave

What position do you play?

it is a non-checking league but it was rough, there were 3 fights! i play defense, a lot of skating backwards and passing the puck up to the forwards, a little rough stuff in defense of my net.

hmmmmmmmmm.......... :smt017
The boats will be awkward on ice :smt019
"Hooking" would have a whole new (and painful) meaning :smt013
And tandems would not be allowed :smt018
But, sand dabs instead of pucks could be interesting... :smt003

I play down here in SD, never played growing up.  My company sponsored a team, and now I am addicted! (not as much as fishing!)
Great sport, definite workout.  I am glad the NHL is back!! Congrats on getting back on the ice!  :smt004 Chris

back in my "yute"....I used to rollerblade a lot....I tried playing street hockey and I was good....problem was: I could not skate backwards...needless to say, I never got phone calls from the fellas when they were short of a player  :smt011

Thank God I had a dozen more other sports to fall back on  :smt002

IMO: I'd rather watch hockey than football(sorry Jason).......but both can't compare to women's pro beach volleyball  :smt007

Chris that is great!  Tell the truth, the real reason you joined the league was just another excuse to drink beer.  J/K. Maybe we will come watch you play sometime.

If you like ice hockey, you should give underwater hockey a try.  I know they play at San Jose State and we play in Sebastopol 2X a week.  Rockfish fishing season will close pretty soon but the diving should be open all year.
