Trying to find a place away from the crowds. Bean is an obvious choice but then again it's obvious to a lot of people. Open to suggestions. Saturday is looking like the best day. With all the storms down south it's looking to get pretty raunchy by Monday. who's hitting the coast this weekend?

In the game of biggest fish, if you can't enjoy routinely gettin' your ass handed to you, by great fishermen, then you don't belong in the NCKA.

We'll be launching off Capitola on Saturday at 7AM and paddling up north to Santa Cruz and working our way back when the winds pick up. I've surfed there when I was younger but never fished here before so I'm not expecting much. I'll be on 69.

Good luck. Looks like I'll be at Bean Hollow up the coast. Bring plenty of quarters for the meter. If the the outside reefs don't produce try a slow drift throught the kelp with a 1-11/2 oz weedless jig with a squid or anchovy teaser
