This is a little off topic as far as fishing reports go. Thought I would share it anyway.

We have a couple non-kayaking friends that are heavy into Geocaching. I noticed three caches that are kayak accessible in the Delta Meadows area, so I offered to take them there. I provided the kayaks, they provided drinks and lunch. A good deal for all of us.

My son Eric and I met them at the DM launch this morning, had a little safety talk and headed out for the first cache
"Radio Snodgrass GC1P8NC". Tide was low and it was tough to find. Eric and I got out of the kayaks, walked through the delta muck into the brush. Eric found it hanging in the bushes.

Then we were off to the next one "Reed Pond GC1TC7F. Headed down Snodgrass and circled the cache area. Had to push our way through the reeds. Eric found the cache in an old sign post. Cache was soaking wet so we couldn't sign the log sheet. No big deal. It's still a find.

The last cache, "Little Dead Horse Island GC1TC7N" was .96 miles farther down Snodgrass. We headed down with the tide and against the wind.

Carol spotted this one and was able to retrieve it while sitting in the kayak.

We were back at the ramp after a 3.05 mile paddle.

Watched a guy slide his boat and trailer off the ramp. Almost lost his truck too

Here's our GPS track

Good times on the Delta!

No mention of that happening...no need really. I'll take them anytime they want to go.
