FR 8/20-21

Got to FR early thursday morning slept on table waiting for KayakJack and friends.Met everyone and we hit the water.We made our way south to fish those rocks down the way . On the way I would mark fish stop make a few casts and catch 1 or 2 and move on .By the time I got to the rocks I had CnR 7 or 8 fish already .Decided to get close to the rocks .Glad I did first cast and bendo .Feels like a rock so I'm thinking ling.Slow and steady I bring this fish up.Oh shit its a big ass cabazon ,makes another run back down and the fight continues .By this time one of Jacks buddies  comes over to help me land her . 23 1/4 not bad for my first cabbie .Fish around catching little rockies until I get a greenling will bring her up I notice a shadow following fast .This ling is going so fast she breaks water and splashes me in the face with water .Very quickly I put reel into freespool and drop down 15 feet later ling on .Bring her up slowly reach back get net and its all over for her .All she needed to do was open her mouth and she could have been free .She was'nt even hooked . 32"' ling . Other stand out a 20" black not a bad day at all .Sorry for being long winded on my first post.Fished with Mike/solsrf1 , Mad max and friend on friday .Was slow but still alot of fun .Thats all til next time ,David
