I wasn't able to make bait so I took advantage of the flat conditions and paddled toward natural bridges and started working my way back jigging scampis. the bite was a little slow but I managed some quality fish here and there. I moved deep into the kelp close to It's beach and the light house and nailed a nice 18" cabbi closely followed by a puffer 22" grassy, though I'm not 100% on the ID yet, it was a little darker and more brown than a grass. It tried to kelp me but I gave it some slack and fooled it into wandering back out into the open again. still have yet to bag a halibut for the year, it will be a hail marry hali soon enough. I'll try and post pics as soon as my camera cable turns up.

That was a dinosaur grassy! Biggest I've seen was probably 18 to 19 inches.
