how many use pool noodles for flotation and how do you know how many to use?  stuff in as many as will fit and call it good?
I found some "monster" pool noodles that are close to twice as big as the regular size and managed to stuff 4 of them in my Hobie Pro Angler.  there is room for more too...........

I got 8 regular ones in my T13. I'd say as many as you can fit.

LOTS and LOTS of info on this site regarding pool noodles for flotation.  The search function, if used properly, can be your best friend.

I'm up to two dozen noodles plus 4 large crab floats.  I've been wanting to do a flotation test for quite some time.  At this point I don't see how there's any way my X-Factor could even look swamped when full of water with all that in there.   :smt005

I've got 5 - 4" noodles in my Manta ray.  Considering that 1 would keep you (!) afloat in the water, you can figure out how manyyyyyyy to use for your precious yak, don't forget to factor in all your gear(toys).  Remember like it was said before they are the lifejackets for your yak!!!

I managed to get 9 monster noodles (3.5" or 4" diameter) in my PA and there is still room for more!  I bought 17 of the monster noodles  (all they had)  at bass pro shops in manteca today.
