I'll be paddling out of the harbor Sunday morning at sunrise (6:30am). CH 69. The forecast is looking really good so far. I'll try to make bait but will settle for fishing frozen bait if need be. Not sure which way I'm gonna paddle yet. I'm open to recommendations.

Good luck out there, I would paddle north and try the Westside, according to recent Bayside reports the hali bite is wide open as you head north.
Motorized boats are for the lazy limp d!%k$

Hi FF:

I usually head SW toward NB as fast as possible. Last
time I ended up fighting the Wind to stay on the Kelp, next to the LightHouse. I gave up fishing around 11:00 Am. and let the Wind
blow me back to the West Harbor. :smt002
I'm bringing Squid but, I should be buying live Bait from "S" Dock!

Check the  Bayside fishing report. 30# halibut have been caught in the vicinity if Natural Bridges.
If the wind cooperates, and sometimes it doesn't, you can have a productive drift back to the lighthouse, especially with a large sea anchor.Good luck.

Two words desribe today's offshore action... WIDE OPEN! The morning numbers were 36'33/122'55 with 6 + Albacore per boat. Anglers ended the day with the following numbers 36'36/123'00 & from 36'28/123'04 - 36'55/123'04. The last numbers boated 20 - 40 Albacore per boat. The weather stayed calm most of the day with a slight south wind and white caps on the ride home. More than one angler out on the offshore grounds reported seeing a Swordfish! The inshore action up and Ano Nuevo was good for the anglers who made the trip. Big Lingcod and Rockfish limits were the norm. We also weighed in some nice Halibut caught off the westside. The conditions look to be holding for tomorrow, so come fishing!

The offshore TUNA bite turned on today for the anglers that went searching off of Monterey. The early morning numbers came in at 4 - 13 Albacore per boat and as the day went on the numbers climbed to 26+ Albacore per boat. The best numbers were 36'33/122'55, 36'15/122'55, 36'40/122'54 and 36'34/122'59. Tomorrows weather looks to be holding for more offshore action. The inshore action was also holding nice fish with a 26lb Halibut taken on a live Sardine at 4 Mile Beach. The Halibut are on the bite from Natural Bridges to Davenport in approx. 40-60 feet of water. We also had a report of 36 limits of Rockcod between Ano Nuevo and Franklin Point. Now is the tmie to come out fishing.

Thanks for posting the latest report mendo. Doesn't really mean much for where we'll be fishing but it's encouraging none the less.

In case you did not get the phone call, I will meet you at the Harbor at 6:30.  If you find the fog is too thick to be safe, let me know in advance to save driving time.

might join you guys on sunday. I saw a big tight group of PB'ers right off wilder ranch on thursday, might be a good time to try launching at 4 mile. It was so flat from SC all up through pigeon point, wish I had the yak with me...
