Could not take one more minute in the home office so shot up to Turtle Rock for a bloody mary and their famous egg roll (not that great!) and headed for Oak Shores.  Long story short, trolled for 4 or 5 miles and only hooked 1 LMB and 1 SMB but both beauties!  Also great to see the young Osprey out of their nests and they are watching their parents hunt.  They and the Greibs were the only other fisherman that I witnessed this afternoon!  Nice fat rattler in the road by the lake, pushed him off the road and wished him luck, then saw two cute little grey foxes standing on the road and slowed and they just stared at me!  Great day to be on the water, air temp was near 100 but water temp was 80-85 degrees.   Here are the shots from my crackberry

Forgot to mention how much I enjoy a dead calm and quite lake being shattered by drunk water skiiers cranking rap or heavy metal, I am not sure if riding around in circles on their boat makes them stupid or if they started that way, but a bigger bunch of morons you will not ever meet!   That being said, that was a small precentage of the time, mostly very peaceful!

Awesome report and pics.  It looks like besides the morons, you had a perfect day: calm water, beautiful weather, fish, and some wildlife.  Thanks for not running the rattler over.  There are too many of the "the only good snake is a dead snake" types around.  Too bad you didn't get pics of the foxes.  I think the gray fox is one of the prettiest animals around (they can climb trees like a cat!!).

Thanks for the report Zin. You just gave me some hope of possibly catching some
SMB and LMB. So many hookups to little time to fish. :smt009
