Wow very nice.   That would be a very good buck with a rifle but with a bow insane.  Congratulations

Nice velvet 3x4 and certainly worth the wait.  Were you hunting from a tree stand?

Edge of hill with about a 15' drop where the trail went by. I have a really nice tree stand but I can`t sit still long enough to use it.

Nice job. Congrats. I was in D3 also but did not see one deer. Lots of sign but nobody out and about during daylight hours.

Beautiful buck in perfect velvet.  CONGRATS!

I was wondering if those atom broadheads worked.  I guess they do!

If I knew a good place to harvest an archery buck (with over the counter tags still available), I'd be making plans to go right now.

I haven't deer hunted in California since I moved back from Tulsa, Oklahoma.  I use to bowhunt mornings and evenings several times a week during the long Oklahoma archery season.

If anyone here can hook me up with California property to bowhunt deer, hogs, or turkeys.... please PM me.  I would be so grateful.

Hey Chuck. I don't get out as much as I used to because of spending so many weekends on my habitat project but I still get out a few times each year. I am a member of Golden Ram and we have some decent ranches for deer, pigs and turkey. I have a corporate membership so I can take other hunters on with me. Have you gotten your license since being back?

I always spot and stalk I hate sitting still . I've got a spot in the american river canyon that holds nice bucks but its a two man job getting them out . I the last 15 yrs most of my bucks have come from BLM in Nevada co.

Harvesting trophies like that off public land is a major accomplishment.  :notworthy:

I'm getting an over-the-counter tag this week and so I HAD to look at this post.
Niiiicccce!
I hope to harvest a little blacktail in someone's large backyard, (acres and acres worth), real soon. It would be my first with a bow.
How are those Golden Ram memberships? Worth the $$$$?
