Thinking of getting a shorter yak; just cause I don't hace one. No really cause I want to be able to fish rivers. All input is welcome!

Have you tried both? I had a scrambler before and it was a barge. How is the T11 to paddle; I'm sure its not as easy as my P15, but just trying to compare. How does it do going down rivers, as far as being able to keep it straight and fish

Its the river dream ask Sean or Patrick. Thats going to be my next river boat and I can carry it down tyhe cliffs by myself at 41 pounds. I have a caper but the rides too wet. The T-11 has a rod pod for going through the fast water and its nimble.

Having had both, either is a good choice.

The Mini is lighter and more manuverable but doesn't track or paddle as well.

The T-11 is slighly heavier but has way more storage and rides on anchor better than any other yak I have tried.

The mini has notched footwell, the T-11 has footbraces.

Thanks for the info! I'm leaning towards the T11, but is the mini better in rougher water(rapids)? Which one would you, or anybody else, buy if you had to do it again?

Let's do a poll on this  :smt003  I had the Mini-X once and love it but also leaning toward the T-11 from what I read about it.

Its a good question Terry. I am just basingmy reply based on the fact that I love Ocean Kayak first and having the T-15 I could only imagine that ride and storage compacted down to an 11ft boat. Tracking, speed, and storage capacity. Can I try your mini-x up at the lake sometime? I have a caper and its way too wet of a ride for me.
