My dad, my brother and I fished off Muir beach today from 8 -12.  We caught some live bait, pacific herring, and made drifts in to the beach from 25 feet of water to 5 feet of water and covered most of the cove with no grabs from fish.  We did catch 3 dungeness crabs that would not let go of the bait.  The crabs where so aggressive they kept eating even after we got them on to the kayaks to get them untangled. Only one would have been legal too bad season is closed.

Thanks for the report, TG.

As soon as the season is over, they're everywhere :smt003  I caught a bunches of Dungies in Tomales bay while slow drifting live Smelt a couple weeks ago.  Thanks for the fishing report.

Muir is nice,

Good food those herring, seems like alot of the crabs I saw this year were smaller and with a weak shell.

Sometimes running a swim bait or a bucktail behind the bait can pay off with a large fish as well.

Good luck,
