Yeah, my wife and I went swimming at New Brighton round sunset last night and I watched as it slowly started to build over the course of an hour or so... Maybe the winning fish tomorrow at the tourney will be a giant jack smelt  :smt003

I was considering bringing my full suit and bodyboard...It's going to be sloppy and blow out early....Should I even bother or just sleep in and be lazy all day?

hmmm... who knows... I'm gonna head down in the morning, check out the scene, and, maybe, just maybe, head out and catch me some fish... Its gonna be interesting to see what fish wins... Do any of you know if kingfish or mackerel are considered competitors?... I know a huge swell turns on the bite for sand dabs as well... lol...  joking though... put in your time and drop your jig on the right spot and you may catch a fish... a big swell definitely turns down the bite, sometimes quite significantly, but a good angler can still stick a few fish... I've caught lings up there in a big south before!:smt003
