and baitfish freely swim . . . saw bunches of bait and some of it acting very nervous, but figure-eighted the isles for an hour or so without a strike.  Xraps and flies were ignored.

Santiago was barely saved a skunking by a spunky largish schoolie off the rock wall protecting Loch Lomond harbor.  Should have gone over to the San Quentin zone!

Posted on the theory that in kayak stripering as well as in science, negative results can be important to the success of the larger enterprise :)

Hey Santiago,

Sorry you missed em'. They are definitely in the "vicinity".  Still looking sketchy for my availability this weekend but will call you if I can swing it.  That high tide is attractive.

but Sunday could be good too . . .  I forgot to mention how glassy it was on the water last night -- perfectly flat.  Let's have more of that!

Meanwhile, my tide site at "myoutdoornetwork.com" has been dead for two days.  Does anyone have an online resource to recommend?

I know Jim has a big bible-like tide book, but that's so old-school  :smt003

Saltwater is the cure for everything that ails us,
sweat, tear or the sea.

that one definitely does the trick.  Be even better if they let you save queries and so on.
