I'm looking for a pair of splash pants for less than $75 that will keep my butt dry even when sitting in a pool of water.  Any recommendations?

http://www.rei.com/online/store/ProductDisplay?storeId=8000&catalogId=40000008000&productId=47796112&parent_category_rn=4501478&vcat=REI_SSHP_PADDLING_TOC

These are cheaper (on sale now) then most others. I use these for the Bay and Lakes on warm conditions. (I've actually used them at Linda Mar a few times - since the paddle was only a short distance)

The only problem I see with this is that when you side saddle on your yak or even just put your legs on the water, the seal on the ankles will leak so you need to pull up the pant leg to your knees to prevent  the water from crawling up to your butt.

Other than that - I like it for the price.

Hey Chuck,

John got some a few weeks ago.  He loved them but not at Buck's.  I think everyone was not happy with the cold, lack of blue sky, and the wind at Buck's the last time.

He gave me the e-mail address.  I think they were $150.

For fishing I use Warmers brand, they are effective and are only about $30.  You don't have to sweat ruining a set of expensive ones with hooks or slime.
