It was a beautiful day out there..paradise

Chuck (Flach) and I launched at around 9am after picking up some shiners and bullheads from Keith Loch Lomond Marina, great guy thanks SteveS!

Action was slow, picked up this 24 incher will drifting a live shiner in 15-20ft of water about an hour after low tide, so just a little after slack. About 6 p-boaters raided the scene when I hooked up, then left 10 min later.

Congrat on your catch.  The water looks so nice.  Thank you for the report and pictures Rob.

I knew Dave caught his Hali at Paradise on Bullhead.  I still prefer live anchovies or Shiners.

We acted like rookies when we went into Keith's. We wanted to catch some fish so we took his advice to try both, CHuck had on a bullhead and I had a shiner. Chuck had a take down on the bullhead, and when he switched over to shiner after I landed my fish he had another fish bite his shiner in half, shark or ray we thought. I think I prefer the shiners because the water was murky and they do shine, but I can also see the advantage of bullheads because they probably stay on the bottom which could be advantage too.

Nice job on the fishing guys and congrats on the flattie. I saw you guys hauling the yaks up the hillside.. you guys are animals! I got two keepers later in the afternoon/evening. Also, got into a short sleigh ride with a sea-lion/seal? that bonked me into the bow of a sailboat  :smt081 was a fun day

Landed my first hali on a bull head. ive had more luck on the shiner. buy 1 bullhead as a go to guy. the stay alive better then shiners. i like to cut the horns off the way the dont get spit out by striper. may work with hali too?
I like to have fun.......
