Had a great, LONG day...

Ran 10 miles in the AM along WestCliff as part of my training for the Royal Victoria Marathon in October with Team in Training (raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for Blood Cancer research)...nice and foggy and cool, and there were a bunch of folks out on yaks and PBs enjoying the glassy conditions...

Then headed home and wheeled the kayak down and launched from the Capitola Pier and was OTW by 11ish...conditions were great, and water was super clear...found a little honey hole of a kelp bed over over in the Surfer Reef/Adams Reef area and caught and released a ton of small brown, grass and black and yellow RockFish...kept nine of the better ones to share with friends who had put in requests for their weekend barbecues, including one nice fat 16 inch GrassCod that I kept for my own eating pleasure...

Paddled in around 3:30 and raced home, showered, changed, and headed down to Watsonville to meet up with my buddy to head down to the Salinas Rodeo to go see CCR (I got two tickets for having raised the most money for Team in Training so far this season, over 4k)!!!!!!! It was actually Creedence Clearwater ReVISITED, and was all the surviving members of the original group...

The concert was GREAT, they played all their classics and they sounded awesome!!!

Anyway, it was a very fun filled day, and even though the fishing wasn't spectacular, I had a blast hanging out OTW...

Here are a few pics...
