Really nice limit there, Alex. Too bad about the dunkings and the lost stuff. I'm hoping my first post-surf-class launch goes better, but we'll see. Was the surf much bigger than what we practiced in at MBK?

Andy

The surf wasn't much bigger, just more of a dumping wave and cobbles on the beach. As always, timing, commitment and good judgment required.

I see a trend here. Get in all the fishing you can before.....
 :smt008
I wouldn't doubt you did the same thing on the week of your marrage :smt044 when the Lady gives me the go ahead I don't ask questions I just go disappear. Just like this morning I went out early to Tioga road to see if I could get a stripper to hit my pencil popper off the serf... None this morning. I get to try again latter before sunset.

I'm Still Cleaning Fish :smt003
[/quote]

I left mine on ice until cleaning them before work at 6AM this morning. After the long drive, cleaning gear and a heaping plate of spaghetti, I passed out with sore arms and dreams of giant fish emerging from the depths. :smt003

This was kind of like a fisherman's bachelor party.Great fishing with you again Alex.

Thanks guy! I'm feeling a little slow and sore today too. And still have tones of prepping to do for the wedding party .  I have all my family here for the wedding and all I could think of is getting out of here and hitting the beach where i could just chill! Man, I can't wait for all this is done ! I love my family but what chaos! Whooo... :smt102

Thanks Aaron, that trip down to big sure was the best bachalore party ever :smt003

Inspiring photos!
 All that red was beautiful!
And as for the dunk....well I gotta defer to the great Evander Holyfield when he said;
"Ya gotta eat a few punches to get inside."
EWvery dunk makes us better.
If ever people have a chance....play in the surf with your kayak with a wetsuit on.
Do a dozen or so mounts/dismounts in a row and you'll have a year of experience in 20 minutes.
Way to go long and prove to the wife that its worth the gas!

This was a great crew with lots of experience and great attitudes all around.Although someone should have taken my safety/surf class. :smt005

Sorry about the baptisms Alex and I'm glad you and Bear were able to find us in the pea soup fog.

We got back to the landing not a moment too soon, as the incoming tide was swallowing the beach and cutting off our portage around the point. We topped off the session with a fun beach chill and plenty of "safety meetings" on the beach. :smt002 Good times with an awesome crew.NCKA rules!

Uh yeah. I have been whomped enough in the surf down there to know that there is no substitute for training from a certified instructor like yourself and practice every year. Thanks for the excellent class which is not just for newbies. PM me or Etienne if you are fishing on Saturday.
