We spent the weekend harvesting fish on "the ranch", and thought you guys might enjoy some pics of life on a family fish farm. Everybody gets involved -- neighbors, friends and of course my boys. A good test for would be girlfriends, "We're harvesting fish, ya wanna come?" Always interesting ...

Ben that looks like fun and hard work.  let me know if you ever need a hand one weekend, i'd be happy to help!  I took an aquaculture course in college so it would be cool to see it up close.

It's all of that. This is my "second" job, and there are days I wish I didn't have the responsibility. But mostly it's fulfilling, and it has been a great environment to raise my boys in. Kids don't have too many opportunities to do hard physical work growing up today. As for helping, you're welcome to come check it out... but careful what you wish for  :smt002

They are hauled live to the Bay area for the Asian markets there

Same here!  I'd love to help out next time, if I can make it.

I've been meaning to ask you about your farming gig...  Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Eric. Sure, I'll let both you and Ben know the next time we harvest. Looks like 3-4 weeks from now. I can offer a authentic curry dinner as an enticement  :smt002

Well this is pretty cool. One son finished college this year, the other isn't too far behind, I was starting to get worried about my future labor force  :smt005
