My yellow P13 arrived a day early at REI. Picked it up Thursday after work.
Wanted to take it out before going to Albion, so I headed for a local pond. On the water 10:45am, off around 1pm.

Arrived, unloaded the truck and noticed my safety flag was missing from the end of the kayak. I know I attached it at the house. Oh well, must have blown off. Launched, paddled out and caught two LMB. Biggest was 15". Both on Senkos.

Got back to the ramp to unload the yak. Popped the hatch off and noticed a little water in the boat. Started to pick it up and really noticed it was much heavier. Flipped it over and tilted to drain. The water gushed out of the hatch and the drain hole. Must have had a couple gallons of water in there. Very disappointing. :smt011 It's going back to REI after dinner tonight.

Almost home and I found my safety flag in the middle of the road. :smt001

Here's the pics:

First blood (no blood, just fish slime) on the new boat.

Fish number two.

New boat at the ramp.

That sucks, to wait for a boat and have it leak,

I like your seat cushion, I have one just like it. Works great.

Sorry to hear about your leaking new yak.  Good thing you wasn't out in the ocean or bay.  Hope you can get another one in time for Albion.  Thank you for the report and pictures Al.

My thoughts exactly. Would have been a sorry situation out in the ocean.
Still have my old olive P13, so I'll be set for Albion.

I like my old Ocean Kayak, but the new Prowler I received sucks. :smt011
I'll return this one and shop around for different kayak line.

Good to hear you came back safe and sound. That sucks big time regardless
though because the boat was new. And to find it leaking, not good at all. I have
the T13 and I love it. I just hope I don't ever encounter the same experienced
you had with yours. I only use the T13 on the ocean.

Damn Al that sucks to have a new boat leak on you. On the other hand, congrats on getting it fishy anyway. Way to go on the CPR. Hope your next one is bullet, torpedo and shark proof.

A long wait for a leaky purchase. I hope the second time around is the charm for you.

That's a bummer Al, good luck with the next one.  Congrats on the bass.
