Taking the gf back out to paradise on Sunday for some more butt action.  Should be fun and weather looks to be nice.  I am going to troll chovies behind a dodger this time, she is going to try some new top secret technique that is supposed to hammer them.  It is so top secret, she won't even tell me, but all the guides in the area are looking to start using them, so it won't be top secret for long.  We will see.

I will be sport'n a yellow P15 OC, she will have a yellow manta ray.  I found out what her secret was, and bought enough stuff to make three, if you want to hook up when we get there, I will let you use a rig, they are almost 20' long!  I was promised that they will outfish live bait 2:1

Im guessing its a rig the commercials use....a flasher with 3 hoochies/bass tubes (only 3 hooks allowed in the bay)dropper style off a 15ft heavy mainline. These work well, but are DANGEROUS, especially off a yak! think about it, you get a large hali on the last hoochy, wind up to the first 3 way and you have to handline in 20ft of line past 2 nasty hooks. then as hali's always do after coming to the boat easily, it decides to take off, and those other 2 hooks have to come flying past you as it heads to the bottom! Nasty accident waiting to happen.

I'll be at the parking lot around 7:30am.  You're welcome to share my kayak cart/wheels.

This is the same rig my friend uses on his power boat. The leader is made from braided line which will cut the shit out of your hand if not careful. He has had his share of very close calls handlining in. He hasnt caught 1 fish one the first hoochie, a few on the second and almost all on the bait fish at the end. Plus the fact he trolls with it. If you are in a kayak and you are fishing in 20ft of water you are going to have to paddle your ass off just to keep it all off the bottom. Good luck and be careful. Im with Sharky on this one. I will be down by the old sub net factory.

It did not pan out.  Went to Santa Cruz instead, Paradise got voted down by the others in my truck at the last moment.
