OK, I dont mean to turn this into some deep topic on global warming politics.  I am operating under a few assumptions.  First, its happening.  Second doesn't matter why, we cant stop it.  If its nature, we are hosed.  If it requires politicians, we are hosed.

We keep hearing about the negative outcomes so whats the upside in Norcal fishing?  We will lose some fisheries, but will we gain others?  Triggerfish in Capitola, will we soon be catching dorado near the cement ship?  Fishing in shorts?

The cool temps of Santa Cruz will warm and we will become the winter destination instead of summer. We will be the Hawaii of the west coast, from here to Washington, any farther south and it will be too hot.
I see sailfish, dorado, striped marlin in our fishing future, except I will be 463 years old. BUT still fishin'

Then the scale will tip and we will have another ice age as mother nature rids herself of the fleas called humans.

Slow process, mother nature...

But is wouldn't surprise me to see the warm water fish move North.
I think the trigger fish is an aberration caused more by El Nino than global warming.

But it is fun to imagine some warm water fish in our area and save us the trip to mexico or hawaii.
