I'm visiting my mom in San Fran with my kids and wanted to take them to go catch some critters.  My little monsters...uhhhh girls don't much care what they catch, so long as they're "weeetle and cuuuuute".

I'm thinking of going to the central valley and catching some frogs one night.  That'll give us a couple days of frog jumping contests.

Any suggestions for places to hike and explore all the while able to catch little critters on land, in water, or in the air are welcomed.

Thanks,
Nate

Small strip of red velvet and a long fly rod works for hooking/catching bull frogs.

Can you recommend any spots?

Sorry don't have a good spot anymore. They used to be abundent around the ranch but the irrigation district now sprays some chemicals that kill just about everything off.
