Fishing the Whole Sacramento

Last night I had an idea..Kayak the whole Sacramento River from Shasta to Suisan Bay targeting every fish in the river system.  Of course this would not be all at once but over the whole year, targeting the different fish that live or visit the river system. 

Has anyone done this? Again I just thought of this last night and just started looking into the idea.  Looking for help with access points on the river, fishing tips, seasons, camping, or anything else.  I figured with all the knowledge on this site it would be a good place to start.

Might be some help in the planning and they fished.
