Planning on getting there ~7am.

FYI - Heard on the news this morning that Stillwater is posted with a bacteria advisory. When bacterial levels exceed bacterial standards an advisory is issued and beaches are posted with an advisory notice. Higher levels of bacteria have been associated with the increased potential risk of illness. The posting will reamin until follow up samples reveal that bacteria have subsided to levels considered safe for recreational contact.

Porky; MBK and Stillwater are a long ways apart.

These advisories usually just advise against going swimming (as does this one). Cooking and eating fish caught there will not be a problem so it's fine for us. Unless Al turns up  :smt003.

Keo; you can catch rockfish on anything, especially at Stillwater where the blues are abundant. Just a little trout/bass rod with a piece of squid and a 3oz sinker will do the trick, you don't have to buy special gear. I have a ton of suitable rods/reels I would lend you but they are packed and in storage for my imminent move.

Hmmm, the forecast is going the wrong way. I'm going to sit on the fence for a few hours but I'm seriously thinking about postponing to Friday or just going to HMB on Saturday instead.

Thursday: SW wind 10 to 16 kt, with gusts as high as 22 kt. Patchy fog before 11am. NW swell 7 feet at 9 seconds. Wind waves 2 to 3 ft.

Friday: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming WNW around 6 kt in the morning. Patchy fog before 11am. NW swell 9 feet. Wind waves around 1 ft.

Saturday: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming W 5 to 7 kt in the morning. Patchy fog before 11am. NW swell 7 feet. Wind waves around 1 ft.
