huh, glad all the surfcasters I know help folks out and are not asses.  i moderate the West Coast Forum of Stripersonline, I gotta tell ya, the people there are always willing to help new folks out.  If you want, we are having a get together July 18th.  you can learn more in that one day of BS'ing and food consumption then a life of blindly walking the beaches.
We will hold the event in Half Moon Bay at Francis Beach at the end of Kelly Ave.

Take Tom's advice...  You're likely to meet some west coast surf fishing legends...  and Tom is one!

Or just go for the chili.

Thanks for the tips everybody. I went and got a couple of kastmaster lures. tested em out at a baseball field by my house. Needed some practice, but i was able to sling that sucker pretty darn far after a while. I'm going back out the next time the tides are right with my schedule. Hopefully I'll be lucky enough to catch one fish. That's all I need, anything after that would be released. The less fish in my freezer gives me more incentive to fish more often. :smt002

Karma dictates, let the first one go with a kiss and more will follow.   :smt002
