in particular deck loops, and marine rivets. The deck loops I was at the boating supply stores have been overkill and expensive.

Do you order online, or would a place such as Aquan carry most of what you need?

Usually it's cheaper to order on-line if you not in hurry getting them.  It's helpful if you let us know the area where you live so we can recommend a close by store.  If there's a West Marine in your area they should have the items that you needed above.

Thanks, Sailfish!

That would be helpdul, wouldn't it? I thought it was in my signature, but realize now it wasn't (fixed).

I'm in SF, and actually went to West Marine in SSF, but the deck loops I saw there were heavy duty and not cheap. Maybe I was in the wrong aisle...  :smt009

Although I definitely need a marine radio still, so I'll be making another trip there sometime soon. Maybe give it a second look.

I just bought some stuffs at Clavey River Equipment in Petaluma and saw they carry the pad eyes/desk loops there.  If you need these right way you can google they phone and call them up.

I went down to Aquan over the weekend, and they pretty much had everything I needed. (Note the past-tense usage of "had...") Unfortunately they were completely sold out of many things due to Paddlefest being the previous weekend. Happily, they did have a few deck loops, so I was able to get a start, and the customer service and friendly factor there are off the charts good.

Didn't get to meet Mooch as he was at the boathouse in Foster City. (Next time, Mooch!)
