Here is plan B if the swell at Horseshoe is too much. Meaning that if the swell is over a certain luanching safety limit. We can launch at Stump Beach. This has a break but its a sandy launch and you would still get the work out from going down and up a long set of stairs. There is a huge parking lot and wheels could be used. A 2- person carry down the stairs. If you look in the picture you cant really make it out but the stairs down are on the right as you are looking at the cove. The south point of this cove is where I found my first 10 inch ab. In a cave upside down in a overhead crack. I have taken big abalone lomits off of this point as its only really divable during calm oceans. North of Stump Beach is Fisk Mill cove. There is fishing structure to the north and south. Tp paddle all the way to Horseshoe from Stump would be a workout also. I'm guessing over 3mi as the crow flies. This is the place Jim pmed me about launchingfrom to go to Horseshoe. If its flat, down the cliff at Horseshoe. If the launch looks dicey then here is plan B. If altogether blown out I would like to change the date to Aug 1st. The tides are good that day and abalone season is back on. If we get down there and there are divers amongst us you really want to dive in front of Richardsons Ranch. Effectively been in closure for the last 20 years.

but I'm glad to do what I can to help out if you can think of something and I'm also curious what you're going to be talking about

The usual, nothing different than last time really, just reminding them how healthy our abalone fishery is and the the Stewart's Point SMR will only create an effort shift to places like Ft Ross, Stillwater, and South Fisk Mill, ultimately damaging the abalone fishery south of the Stewart's Pt SMR and putting the closest quality ab diving more than 3.5 hours from SF.
