launched out of half moon bay yesterday with my 11 daughter, and the dad and 13 year old from next door.  we took an easy run down to pescadero and dropped our lines in at 60 feet of water.  my kid hooked up on a 9 pound ling in 3 seconds.  within 2.5 hours, we had a 6 pound ling, a 13 pound ling,

and 4 limits of rockfish.  these kids are getting spoiled.  if more then 3 minutes passed without a bite, they were telling me to reset.  jeff caught a 4.5 pound vermillion.

the tigerfish dropped in on the exact same rock that i was working. got a nice photo.

i was cleaning fish the entire time we were running back to the barn. my back is still killing me, but it's great spending time on the water with the kids!

Wow ... Big fish and caught fish fast! What time did you go out and started fishing?

What would you recommend launch point for kayak fishing in half moon bay? How much farther out?

Alan, it's so cool to see a good father daughter fishing thing going on.  I bet these girls can easily outfish the boys they know.

Now.... if we can just get Alan to mount kayak racks on his Grady White to mothership us out to his favorite rockfishing grounds... we'd be in heaven!!!

if you can find a spot to launch, there will be spots that only you can fish.  places that have never been fished by boat because it's in too tight.  that's why i got the kayak.  i just haven't had time to rig it :smt015  :smt015  :smt015  :smt015  :smt015  :smt015  :smt015  :smt015  :smt015  :smt015  :smt015  :smt015  :smt015
