Southern California has just started their season of lobster.  Are there any Lobster up North?

I believe that they are found up to about Morrow Bay normally.
I was in La Jolla a few years ago for opening night - much like our opening day of ab season, only even more charged because the opening night is really wide open with unsuspecting bugs everywhere. I was staying at an Inn right above La Jolla cove and I made a reservation to go out on  a dive boat from San Diego instead of diving boomers next to the cove. That was a mistake! I never saw so many lobster in my life, and every one was a short! I saw literally at least a hundred over the 2 dives. Final tally for the ~18 divers? Three legals. I won't name the boat, but I'll never dive them again. Not that it was that unusual, but they didn't act surprised (or really care). :smt013

Wait a minute! This just in... I just noticed an ad in the Northwest Dive News for a lobster contest at the Sport Chalet"s Pleasanton location (east Bay Area). It is on opening night from 1AM to 7AM, so apparently there must be bugs somewhere close to the Bay Area! Either that or you get your bugs in SoCal and get them to the store by 7AM for the contest entry. Hmmmmm...  :smt043
