oh man, I went back to work, and now I get skunked. Next I'll find out my dog hates me.

yep-- buddy partick picked up two trolling a fly, I got SKUNKED!!!

first time in 42 days...

i thought i knew a lot about striper fishing, until today!  mike and i trolled from the brickyard to the sisters, out to the party boats in san pablo bay, around rat rock and back to the brickyard. on the way we encountered swift current, brisk wind, absolutely raging whitecaps[i thought i was going to tip over, i had to take evasive action on several occasions] 2 jumping sturgeon, one huge rotting sturgeon head and i caught one striper.  as i drove home i noticed every other part of the bay calm and balmy. always a glutton for punishment, i put in at the san leandro marina and proceeded to fish the sweetest looking calm green water in a long time-no fish! 6hrs of paddling, loading up twice and a 2 hour nap, i can't wait for tomorrow!
