I've noticed folks using various video cams and mounts. This might be a better alternative, http://www.epicstealthcam.com. It's on sale at costco for 79.99, comes with a 2GB SD, waterproof casing, mount, battery, and strap. It's pretty compact and vid quality is as good as most I've seen on youtube. Check it out, it might just the what you're looking for.

I was using my big video camera as an example. I have a small waterproof Olympus Stylus. Plus all the parts for the mount including Scotty parts were laying around in a box in the garage. Technically all free. Works great.
