ARW or Paradise? Are you picking up or catching any live bait before you get there?

Read the Catching Halibut from your Kayak article. The link should be on the left hand side of this page. ARW is in Alameda & Paradise is in Tiburon. ARW might be closer for you and parking is free vs $8.oo at Paradise. Plan on getting to either location early. Launch is very easy at both spots but you want a cart for Paradise. Hope this helps. I don't have any real intel as I am just learning myself and currently 0 for 3 attempts. At this point I would be happy for a shark or bat-ray hookup. jim

Live shiners from Mike's bait in Oakland or "Best Bait shop" in San Rafael on Loch Lomond Dr. Otherwise frozen anchovies. Live anchovies are best I hear but I haven't seen any available yet except maybe Berkeley Pier?

Thanks for the bullhead tip. Probably see you at Paradise tmw. I decided I'll wait for a carpool situation before heading back to ARW since it's further for me. 15mpg sucks but I can't do without my truck. jim
