This extended stretch of flat water and calm wind has been pretty remarkable.  It looks like it's coming to an end with Sunday's 5-15 knot call south of the Cape.  Tomorrow's forecast is 5 knots.  Anyone down for a run to the promised land?

Where are you planning on going?  Maybe I'm missing what the promised land is.  I do know where some lings are, though - and I'm up for fishing.

Top secret, mcag...   :smt002

I'm launching between the mouth of the Mattole River and Cape Mendocino, Humboldt County coastline, an hour from 101 over windy roads.  It's near the farthest western point in the Continental US, and it's almost always windier than the forecast says it'll be.  The mission is about CVR - catch, video, release - of a big lingcod, but I'll take a huge rockie or cab too!   :smt001

I got a pardner by calling around, so if anyone wants to join us just chime in here.  We're leaving my house at 6 and hoping to get back here by noon.
