left my slip in sausalito at day break, perfectly calm and beautiful on the water.  Went to Loch Lomond for some bait and to shop for lunch at the market near by.  Wanted a relaxing day on the water so just anchored in 20 feet of water straight off of China Camp.  Started a bit slow, but shortly thereafter the bait could not go 5 or 10 minutes without getting molested.  All sharks and rays though!  Largest fish was an approx. 25 lb. leopard shark.  All fish released as carefully as possible.  Would be a great way for a kid to learn to love fishing and learn how to set a hook!  Persistent 20 plus winds in the afternoon so headed back at the top of the tide and was happy I did as while I was washing the boat the winds were howling in Sausalito!  After dinner at PF Changs headed back to St. Helena and of course the water looked very calm at sunset!  Was hoping for some striper/sturgeon action, but at least I wasn't catching skunk!

I know, I have to engineer a rack or two in order to keep them easily stowed and out of the way!

Nope just the ruby port and an old 14 foot klamath that has been collecting rain water in my friends yard for years!

that might be overkill, you are right!  how do you explain how hard that ship is listing?  I hope it was just rocking back and forth and the camera just caught it when it was rolled over to the starboard!  OR were there some "beached whales" on board for evening entertainment?

That was a ROUGH Day on the Islander, the boat even had to be move to find calmer seas to board her...

I believe I was always last to get back on, the last shot there, I was tangling with a particular feisty Bonita and had found myself kinda far " Down Stream ",, by the time I got back to the Islander, the seas were even bigger...

at one point while trying to board, the swim step came up and down on the side of my yak,

almost tossed me over, but I kicked off the boat and was able to right myself and all is well....

even with as nice a set up as The Islander, things can still get a bit Hairy...

I would think a removable rack off your stern with something atop your cab to secure the other end of the yak...

Simple and Stylish........

Catching sharks and rays are fun too, especially from a kayak  :smt003  Thanks for the report and pictures.
