Got on the river at little after 5:30 and stayed until dark. It was definitely a nice evening to be on the water. Caught a couple for the smoker and lost a couple .. 6lb wasn't cutting it tonight a few snapped off at the boat after the head shake and dive. I ended up switching to 8lb and was good after that. Here's some pic's.

Those shads are some fighters.  always fun to catch with lite-gear.

Saturday evening looks open so far. Do you have a drift anchor and are you comfortable with it? Where I end up going you have to anchor up.

not yet but i was planning to by this weekend.  it depends on if my wife will let me.

any riffles you're going over?  I was considering taking the hobie sport but wont do that if the water is too shallow for the drive.  i might still do it but take out the drive.

i do have an anchor trolley system that should work ok if the water is not moving too quick.
