Berkeley Saturday

Splashedat 6, off by 7.  WInd was horrible, visibility down to about half mile, and the waves were huge, and inconsistant.  It was in effect like a washing machine.  I could not troll, so I switched to drifting frozen anchovies back to the marina.  Got to the marina, and this guy had dumped his boat on the launch! He unatched everything on level ground, and was backing down, and hit the brakes, boat flew off the trailer.  Both 250's down, skaggs gone, impellars smoked.  They were trying to winch it back on the trialer, to no avail.  Fifteen other boats waiting to launch, now only one lane to do so.  I told them then need a crane, or just push it into the water then laod back up.  They borrowed my jacks, and at least got the motors raised.  The har master showed up, and I left, there was a lot of yelling going on. I did not want to be associated with it.  I imagine, it was not cheap what ever they did.  No fish for me, but some good etertainment, and experience in rough water.

Some people do some dumb things, but you kind of feel bad for them when it results in such a public debacle.
