Caught six brown rockfish, kept four.
Fished by the black point buoy out to half way to mile marker.Brown rockfish  evenly scattered  therein.
Unlike 3 days ago, when things were pretty quiet,  today there were many birds, diving  pelicans, and I saw a pod of about five harbor porpoise near the buoy. The rockfish situation was about the same 3 days ago.
A nice overcast day with light winds and good bottom holding drifts but no hali love.

Fishfinder was broken , so no live bait jigging. Fished all afternoon with dead squid, hoochie jig, fish trap and metal jig. Scored  with each. There was a light ssw wind for most of the day.
Those black diving birds, cormorants  I think, were coming up with fish and pelicans were diving here and there. A lot of cormorants tho.
