I just bought a couple of scotty rod holders.  Does anyone have a reccomendation on where to mount one on the Pro E so it is out of the way but still accessable?  And what about the x-factor?  I was looking at mounting it opposite my flushmount on the ridge along the right side, it looks like the perfect size for a scotty mount.

Travis, off the subject but.. Great job on the beer at Mendo, that Fat Tire hit the spot.

Seriously though, the center console works pretty well on a Pro-E but you will need a Scotty vertical extension to make it so the rod butt it doesn't get in the way of your feet and legs.  A Scotty flush base will make it so its less obtrusive when not in use.

After a zillion hours in an x-factor, I have never wanted to go back to the Scotty.  Once i got used to the flush mounts, I like them way more.

After a lot of thinking I ended up mounting them both just below my feet.  I might have to scoot up a little to reach them good but I would rather keep the deck wide open for big fish and for swingin my bigass feet around.
