Took the fam to Bolinas lagoon for some sharkin action.  The only problem, no action to be had.  I think we were a little early in the season, and too much fresh water coming into the lagoon for the leopards to follow the tide in.  I set Tanner up on the shore, and I took the yak out on the incoming, did not mark any large fish, several bait balls, but nothing big.  Soaked squid from incoming to outgoing.  Nada, except a major sunburn.  With that being said, it was a beautiful day.  My barfly wife went out last night, and ended up puking every fifteen miles to, and from  Rocklin to Bolinas and back. HAHAHA. Serves her right for staying out all night.  I am sure the smell of squid did not help either! :smt003

Sounds like a nice day in Bolinas despite the skunk.
Not such a great "day after" for your wife!

Too bad about the skunk, I've been sick once on my yak, while fishing in Carmel, and trust me it is no fun.

I wanted to go out of the lagoon, and drop hoop nets, but she would not even consider that, and so we stayed, inside the lagoon.  Did not want to go perchin at the inlet, do you guys catch them inside the lagoon?  What do you use?

Never fished there myself but in general perch bite on mussels, shrimp, and worms

We usually fly fish at the inlet, use a rootbeer colored wooly bugger that I tie with a Tungsten cone head on a size 8, it is killer for them at incoming and outgoing.
