I tried to make my way to French Meadows and Hellhole, but the snow got too deep.  I got stuck in a drift and had to be winched out, so I turned around and went to Oxbow.  I fished Oxbow for about 5 hours, and lost count of how many fish I caught.  I was trolling a dodger with worm on one pole and a dodger/needlefish on the other.  I frequently would have 2 fish on simultaneously.  The Rainbows were between 10 and 24 inches, browns a bit smaller.  All of the fish were wild so it was a C&R trip.

I wish I brought the camera.

Nice job on the Trout man you did some driving, did you take Mosquito or Last Chance in ? Where did you hit the snow my nephews live in Colfax and we stopped and saw them yesterday and they are headed in to fish the outlets tomorrow.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I took mosquito ridge.  If your nephews plan to go to hell hole, I hope they take 2 cars and tow straps.

I will make another attempt at Hell Hole tomorrow.  This time in my truck, with a shovel and more substantial shoes (last time I was digging out my car in flip flops).  I will let you guys know if the road is passable.

I freakin love it up there! Anywhere up in the Sierras.  I might have to take a little of severance pay and take a road trip weekend up to some of those lakes!
