Took my son up to Berryessa yesterday for a little bass action.  We launched at Schoolhouse cove just above Putah creek.  Started catching fish in the cove on the way out to the lake.  Hit a couple of islands and did pretty well. The biggest was a 15 incher.  I got very windy and it was hard to keep contact with your offering.  All fish were caught on soft plastics-Senkos, baby brush hogs and lizards.  Bout threw my arm off using a craw fish crankbait for nada.  Even with the wind, it was a good day on the water.  Only saw 2 boats all day.  Since the resorts are closed, its kind of a ghost town.  Should help the fishing, I would think.  At least you won't get buzzed by jet skiers and ski boats as much.

Parking was on the main road next to a trailhead with a fence with a walk through.  The lower strand of barbed wire was gone so we slid the yaks through the fence; otherwise we wold have had to pass them over the top.  Used the kayak cart to go about 200yds to the water.  So it was not too bad.  At each of the trailheads they had maps and info on fishing the lake.  The maps showed all of the trails from Putah Creek on up.  Good info to pick up!
