Fished Mill Creek Friday evening and Saturday morning. The bite was slow Friday with a mixed catch of assorted small rock fish...nothing worth bragging about or keeping. There was a fair bit of swell and the beach launch was tricky but some how managed to lunch and return dry.
The following morning I headed out around 9am. The bite was much better with 2 short lings and one short cab. I caught a hand full of blues and blacks and one really nice red that I kept and will be feeding the family today for mothers day. The launch was still tough and this time was very wet but the bite made up for it.

Already looking forward to the next day on the water.

Nice catches on the second day.  Thanks for the report.

Good to hear you had a good time, been to Mill Creek once, dry launch, calm conditions, still managed to crash pretty hard on the return.  Glad you did better.

Nice report Smallfish... I think it's slow all over this part of the year. It'll only get better though. Avila Beach... it's been years since I've been down that way. How long of a drive is it from there?
