where do you put stamps?

For people who dont have to have a lisense (mostly kids) where do they put stamps?  DFG says they anybody who fishes the Delta needs a Delta stamp.  Do they expect them to buy a lisense just for the stamps?

futhel, I'm fairly certain you do not need the stamp since you are under the age requirement for a license (save up for next near, though!). I think only certain "report cards" (abalone & sturgeon) are required for people who are not required to have a license - and DFG specifically states it in the regs for those.

If you want to double check, try contact DFG - believe it or not, I've actually had pretty good luck getting a hold of somebody when I've called or emailed; although, with the budget cuts, it might be a different story... http://www.dfg.ca.gov/contact/

Yeah believe it or not, I've called and got some pretty straight forward answers from the enforcement dept.

well i was curious about the delta stamp because i have to have a steelhead stamp and just assumed it was true with all other stamps

the steelhead report card is a report card and not a stamp

those who are not required to have licenses may fish as if they have all stamps.  for example, a 13 year old child may fish with 2 rods.
