Muddy Waters

Went up the Russian today and it looked like Pudding needed these flows in Feb.

Same w/ the Eel - we got slammed up here. 

Yes, we could have used this rain earlier, but it is still something good.  From a fish perspective, these dry summers we've been getting for the past few years are hell on juvenile salmon.  The remaining water in the creeks gets warm and big expanses of good rearing habitat go dry.  Having a good recharge like this before the summer helps a lot.

From a forest fire perspective, this rain was a gift.  As someone who is not a firefighter but is called out to help cut fireline when things get shitty, I am extremely grateful.  Working fireline sucks.  Big time.
